1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account and using Sakinah Spouse, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to any part of these terms, you may not use our platform.

2. User Eligibility — Adults Only (18+)

Membership is strictly restricted to individuals aged 18 years or over. Sakinah Spouse is an adults-only Islamic marriage platform. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and that the date of birth you provide is accurate.

Providing false age information may result in permanent account suspension or removal from the platform. We confirm your age eligibility using the date of birth you provide during registration and reserve the right to request additional proof of age at any time.

Must be 18 years or older — strictly enforced
Must be a Muslim seeking marriage or engagement
Must have the legal capacity to form a binding contract
Must provide accurate and truthful information
Cannot have been previously banned from the platform

3. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for:

Maintaining confidentiality of your password
All activities under your account
Keeping profile information accurate and up-to-date
Notifying us immediately of unauthorized account access
Your interactions and arrangements with other members

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to:

Harass, threaten, or abuse other members
Use fake identities or misrepresent yourself
Upload non-consensual intimate images
Engage in financial scams or requests for money
Solicit sexual content or arrange paid services
Use the platform for non-matrimonial purposes
Collect or store other members' personal data without consent
Screenshot, photograph, screen-record, download, copy, or otherwise capture any other member's profile content, photographs, or personal information for any purpose, including sharing, distributing, or storing it outside the platform
Attempt to circumvent platform security or access controls
Use automated tools or scripts (bots, scrapers)
Post content that violates our Community Guidelines

5. Profile & Content Ownership

You retain ownership of all content you upload. By submitting content, you grant Sakinah Spouse a non-exclusive license to use, display, and distribute it on our platform for the purpose of providing our services.

All profile information and uploaded photos must be your own or used with explicit permission. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms.

6. Subscription & Payment Terms

Billing

Subscription fees are billed according to your selected plan. Payments are processed securely via Stripe. You authorize us to charge the payment method you provide.

Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription anytime through your account settings. No refunds are issued for partial months. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

Free Trial

If applicable, free trial periods are non-refundable. A payment method must be on file to activate a trial. Trial will convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before expiration.

Price Changes

We may change subscription prices with 30 days notice. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance of new pricing.

7. Account Termination

By You

You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, your profile will no longer be visible to other members.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in prohibited behavior, provide false information, or pose a safety risk. Termination may be immediate and without refund.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

Sakinah Spouse is provided "as is" without warranties
We are not liable for damages from service interruptions, bugs, or errors
We are not liable for interactions or outcomes between members
We are not liable for misuse of the platform by other members
Our total liability shall not exceed fees paid in the last 12 months

Screenshots & Photo Misuse by Other Users

You acknowledge and accept that Sakinah Spouse cannot prevent other members from taking screenshots, photographs, screen recordings, or otherwise capturing images of your profile or photographs outside of our technical control. Despite our efforts to discourage and prohibit such conduct (including offering optional photo blurring features), no platform can fully prevent users from capturing or sharing content displayed on their own device screen.

Accordingly, Sakinah Spouse, its owners, officers, employees, and agents are not responsible or liable for any screenshots, screen recordings, copies, or distributions of your profile content or photographs made by other users, whether shared within or outside the platform, including via social media, messaging applications, or any other means.

Any member found to have captured or shared another member's content without consent will face immediate account termination and may be reported to relevant authorities. However, Sakinah Spouse's maximum liability for any such incident shall not exceed the fees paid by the affected member in the preceding 12 months, and Sakinah Spouse shall not be held liable for any consequential, indirect, or reputational damages arising from such unauthorised capture or distribution.

9. Disclaimer

Sakinah Spouse does not provide relationship or marriage counseling advice. We cannot guarantee successful matches or relationships. Users accept full responsibility for their interactions with other members.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sakinah Spouse, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms, your use of the platform, or your interactions with other members.

11. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of UK courts.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via email. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes your acceptance of updated Terms.
